The charge includes the services of one instructor/guide and loan of a helmet, wetsuit, spray top and buoyancy aid.

Canyoning Option: If you wanted to do 'the canyon' using ropes and harnesses to negotiate several pitches please add £10 per person to the above prices.

Often this ghyll requires double staffing though this can also depend on the age/experience of the clients/group culture and background. We are flexible in our approach as some groups are already supportive teams whilst others are a 'bunch of individuals'. We tend to work in smaller groups as sound safety management and ensuring positive experiences for clients are our priority. The staffing increases as the group grows in size. The trip also takes a whole day.

This was a day in the Esk Gorge where we had to scramble up the sides and be very careful, going in the ghyll at this point was not an option. As we came back down the ghyll water levels had dropped enough to do many of the jumps we could not do safely on the way up. Chris Brown, one of our leaders, pictured.
